THERAPY

I have been getting talking therapies for over 36 years to help me to cope with mental illness, anxieties and depression. It has given me a voice and an opinion on my life. I has also helped me to resolve problems in my life.

Talking therapies has changed my life for the better. It has also helped me to have purpose and ambition.

As part of the process I created challenges and goals to stimulate my mind. I also created a recovery plan to help me make a success on my road to recovery. Perseverance and and hard work as well as lots of patience to keep me on the road to success. There were lots of ups and downs and it has not been an easy road to travel. I can recommend volunteer work to help.

Time and patience is what is really required to make it all work.Its like climbing a mountain and to get to the top requires a lot of support and a good role models helps to. It is important to learn from past mistakes. Books training and good advice and joining a social circle all contribute to keeping me well.
