GARDENING IS THERAPEUTIC

Gardening is therapeutic. A therapy that is calming and very relaxing. Concentration is required and a good memory is beneficial. Remembering where you planted what is very important, as it is very easy to forget.

Memory in the garden improves over time. growing seeds and growing plants is a skill that never leaves me. Practice and training helps lot, making sure that everything you plant blossoms and flowers to maximum effect.

Home grown vegetables taste better when they are grown with love and care. Lots of watering and sunlight are needed to get the best results. I always make sure my vegetables get a good soak and fertiliser really helps thing to grow to their best. It also helps the flavour too.

Gardening, is a good hobby for the family and rewarding for my hard work. During the good weather in the summer time it is a special time for me in the garden. There is no growth in winter time, plants go to sleep and awaken in the spring time when growth starts again. Gardening helps relieve stress, anxiety, depression and low mood seasonal affective disorder. (SAD) Sunshine is the best medicine between June and August to boost vitamin D and this helps bone growth and the skin in adults and children.

Gardening can also help people lose weight by digging the soil over for plants and vegetables to grow for your family or yourself and for future planting.
