ROOTS
John Innes compost is good for seeds and plants. I really enjoy using cuttings to grow new plants. It is very satisfying to make plants that root, especially for your indoor garden. You can also use rooting powder to help new roots to grow from cuttings.
I have a climbing rose which is 4 ft high which I take good care of by pruning carefully at the end of the year. When the new growth starts I can control it and make the plant look good and healthy.
With tall plants canes are needed to support the plants that can easily become broken. The wind can also break plants so you need to be careful where you place them. Sheltered places in the garden are best. Cyprus trees are good to grow to create shelter.
Trees can also make a good hedge which helps with privacy. They are also good for making homes for insects and birds. My favourite time is spring. I love crocuses and snowdrops because they tell you that things are beginning to grow again. When the weather gets mild I like it best because I can transfer my indoor plants outside in the summer time. This is very nice because the colour in the garden looks fantastic and you can make the flower beds look really good. All these things are why I love to grow things in my indoor and outdoor gardens.
