Ok
‘Ov course you look okay,’ Simon answered Mary’s
question
‘Oh so I just look okay!’ she protested
Simon;well you asked if you looked ok
‘Yes I did but I was wanting a better answer than
that. Do I not look great?’
‘You look great,’ Simon answered reluctantly. He’s
went through this scenario many times, he should have
thought before answering.
‘You're just repeating what I just said to keep me
happy,’ Mary hollered.
Then Simon thought he would give a sublimate
answer . ‘You look fantastic in that dress.’ He said it
loudly to get the message across.
‘Do you really think so? Do I really suit it?’
‘As I said you look fantastic. It’s the classic little
black dress. how could you not look good?’ he said as he
looked her up and down.
‘So why didn’t you say I looked fantastic before?’
‘I didn't want to sound over the top’
‘So you’re being over the top when you tell me I
look fantastic?’
‘No you do look fantastic.’
‘What over the top fantastic, or over the top I look
as if I'm dressed up for Halloween?’
‘But you are dressed up for Halloween. You’re
dressed up as Morticia.’
‘I know I am but you said Morticia had a longer
dress. So it can't look good.’
‘I said Morticia had a longer dress and you were
bringing it up to date. You’ve got a selective memory
when it suits you.’
‘Oh do I. Well you’ve got a selective memory. I
know about that.’
‘What?’
‘You’ve been seen out with Delia Smith and not the
one with the cakes on the tray, the one with the bun in
the oven. Has that got anything to do with you?’
‘I’ve not been with any Delia Smith of any
description.’
‘You were seen.’
‘What do you mean I’ve been seen?’
‘You where at the pottery class with her.’
‘There’s loads of people at the pottery class. I talk to
a lot of them. I was probably discussing the pottery with
her.’
‘It was a bit more personal I’ve been told.’
‘And who told you this?’
‘Well it was a person from the class.’
‘Alright come out with it. Who?’
‘His name is Harry.’
‘Harry and I suppose his second name is Potter and
this is all just fantasy.’
