Autumn

Fresh leaves blown this way and that
The sound of the soft wind blowing
A magical time of constant change
Envelops the beauty before me

The ephemeral atmosphere captures the changes
The leaves fall like a pattern of colours
Escaping the rugged branches
Brings life to the beauty before me

The deep carpet scatters underfoot
As it crackles, life draws from it
A feast for bugs and insects
Brings life to the dead leaves

The trees now bare of colour
Shows its beauty of
Knots and circles
Bringing life back to the tree
